Scoubeezz™ / Mobidai® Braiding disc get started:Prepare the Scoubeezz™/Mobidai® Braiding disc: Place the Scoubeezz™/Mobidai® Braiding template in the middle of the Scoubeezz™/Mobidai® Braiding disc and insert the round supporting ring in the middle of the Scoubeezz™/Mobidai® Braiding disc in order to fasten the braiding template. Turn the braiding template until the black dot on the template is positioned on top of the cross on theScoubeezz™/Mobidai® Braiding disc. Note! The number of Scoubeezz™ strands you use to braid is the same as the number of pink dots on the Scoubeezz™/Mobidai® Braiding template. This is how you fasten the Scoubeezz™ strands:Position the strands on the lines with pink dots as indicated on the Scoubeezz™/Mobidai® Braiding template you have chosen. Getting started is easy – just knot all the Scoubeezz™ strands together and insert the knot through the ring in the middle of the Scoubeezz™/Mobidai® Braiding disc. Now fasten the Scoubeezz™ strands one by one on the lines with a pink dot according to theScoubeezz™/Mobidai® Braiding template on the Scoubeezz™/Mobidai® Braiding Disc. This is how you braid:It is very easy to use the Scoubeezz™/Mobidai® Braiding templates. On each braiding template you will find a special braiding pattern and the number of Scoubeezz™ strands you need is indicated by pink dots. Just follow the numbers from low to high and always move the Scoubeezz™ strands from a to b. You will see the pattern taking shape all by itself. The individual Scoubeezz™ strands are firmly inserted in the slots and will not move.Begin with 1a, remove the Scoubeezz™ strand from the slot and move it to 1b and insert there again. Continue like this until all the Scoubeezz™ strands have been moved – then you go back to the beginning and start again. Always finish off each series completely. Braiding symbols:Arrows On all the templates the arrows on the lines show in which direction you have to move the Scoubeezz™ strand.Spiral The spiral symbol with an arrow shows in which direction you should turn the Scoubeezz™/Mobidai® Braiding template at point 7, for example, for template nr. 28 turn it in an anti-clockwise direction and for template nr. 29 turn it in a clockwise direction. Moving double strands For the Scoubeezz™/Mobidai® Braiding patterns design nr. 26, 27 and 28 you have to move a double strand as follows: Remove two Scoubeezz™ strands at the same time from the slots, for example from 1a. Then move these Scoubeezz™ strands in a parallel line to the right or to the left, or move them to a “B” position on the opposite side, for example 1b. Be careful that the two Scoubeezz™ strands do not become entangled. This is how you finish off the braid:The simple knot finish Remove the braid from the Scoubeezz™/Mobidai® Braiding disc and hold it so that the braid does not unravel. It is easy to finish off the ends by knotting all the Scoubeezz™ strands together into one knot. The traditional finish: To do this, place a leftover Scoubeezz™ strand (approx. 10 cm) at the end of the braided part in the shape of a loop, with the loop pointing towards the braided part and let the ends stick out a bit. Then wrap another Scoubeezz™ strand in a matching colour around the loop from the end of the braided part to the end of the strands, but leave an end of loop sticking out. Finally, place the end of the Scoubeezz™ strand in the loop and using the ends of the loop, pull the Scoubeezz™ strand through the wrapped part of the loop. | ![]() |
